GAPSE joined Behavioral Health Services Coalition in sponsoring Mental Health Day at the Capitol On February 9, 2011, GAPSE members, self-advocates, supported employment leaders, and legislators met at the Freight Depot for a hot lunch and discussion of mental health issues.
GAPSE joined Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities in sponsoring Disability Day at the Capitol On February 24, 2011, GAPSE participated in the Disability Day at the Capitol on the Georgia Capitol steps for the largest annual public gathering held during the official legislative session. Supporters from across the state met for a day of advocacy activities.
